REVIEW: Bad Rep by A. Meredith Walters

5/5 stars
Oh My! Wow! I just finished reading this and I've been mulling over this book in my head trying to get my thoughts straight! I just flat out loved this book.

This is my first book by the author and not my last after reading this knockout! The most important contributor to why I liked this book so much can be summed up in two words; Jordan. Levitt.

Oh save me not from sexy drummers/bartender/sexy singers that says things that will get your heart racing and your panties melting! Jordan Levitt is hot! Hot! Hot! I felt like I was swooning the whole time. The words out of this man's mouth. Be still my heart. I think my favorite line was:

“I wanted to tell you that I couldn't stop thinking about your face. That you had burrowed your way so deep into my veins that I would fucking bleed you. That if I died tomorrow, I could go a happy man for having felt your lips on my skin.”
-Jordan Levitt, Bad Rep

He was so smooth, so sexy and suave. This line caught me and hooked me like nothing else and I got caught up in the web of this sexy drummer.  Maysie couldn't help it either. She was hooked, line and sinker from their first meeting.

It seemed simple enough, boy meets girl, boy likes girl, boy and girl have off the charts chemistry, I'm talking about looks so hot it'd make your eyes water but there was just one problem . . . sexy bartender guy? Yea, he had a girlfriend. And not any girlfriend, the president of Maysie's sorority and maybe the most popular girl on campus.

When Jordan and Maysie start working together, their desire for each other becomes harder and harder to deny but deny Maysie did and I was proud of her. A lesser woman would have caved in the face of a man like Jordan.

"His voice was like liquid caramel. And I knew exactly what I wanted to do with him. I wanted no holds barred, throw-me-against-a-wall-and-pound-me-within-an-inch-of-my-life-SEX."

Yep, that's what you'd think too if you read this book. Jordan is definitely on my list of Top Heroes of 2012 and in the Top 5. I get so emotionally entangled when reading a story that my heart hurt a lot during this one. The road to "Josie" (that's my couple name for Maysie and Jordan) was a rough one. One that took an extreme turn and changed the lives of our two lead characters but especially for Maysie.

"Who gives a damn about their reputation? Oh, that would be me! Especially since mine had gone straight to hell in the span of thirty minutes."
-Maysie, Bad Rep

She went from reasonably popular girl to an ostracized and well-publicized, though completely untrue, harlot (much tamer that what they were really calling her). Maysie had a really annoying though understandable in the situation quirk. She ran a lot. She was always running away from Jordan and the problems that came with them being together.

“You're right, baby. We began out of something ugly. But what we became was something beautiful. I just wish I could make you see that.”
-Jordan, Bad Rep

The way Jordan felt about her. WOW! Really! This guy was head over heels for her. He felt this incomprehensible draw to her from the first moment he saw her. He'd never felt about anyone the way he felt for her. They had such a strong chemistry. It was palpable whenever they were in close proximity.

"But tell me, Mays, why is it all I can think about is you? Why am I so eager to take another guy's head off for touching you? Why is it when I lay in bed at night I dream that it's you there beside me?"
-Jordan, Bad Rep

WOW! Just *shivers and sighs* Oh Jordan.

“You have taken my heart, every inch of me, Maysie. I don't know that I have anything else to give you that you don't already have.”
-Jordan, Bad Rep

Tell me if that doesn't just make you melt. Hot damn! This guy has such a way with words. Impossible to resist.

But I'll tell you, Maysie made me so proud at the end, standing up for herself like that. It took guts and I wanted to give her a high five and a big hug because after all she'd suffered, she was really brave and it wouldn't have been easy to stand up and fight back after almost the entire school had turned against her.

Love this author! Love this book and I really would love nothing more than to read more of her work. Really good.

REVIEW: Dirty Red (Love Me with Lies, #2) by Tarryn Fisher

4/5 stars
I think this book made me more angry than after I read "The Opportunist." Leah Smith is one complex ball of confusion and I tried. I really tried to be objective and see if I felt something other than disgust with her and I couldn't. Throughout the story she continued to add fuel to the fire that was her life and instead of making me feel for her, I just disliked her more for it.

It's not until the end that I started to feel something for her other than dislike. I felt great sympathy for her character. In "The Opportunist", I had a love/hate thing going with Olivia but I eventually liked her and rooted for her even. Leah on the other hand has so much going on that I  . . .
whew. She was freakin' unbelievable.

The story alternates between the past and the present; Leah's past and present. How she met Caleb and important things that happened in the past up until the trial. There was even a scene from Caleb's POV, I believe it was after he'd left Leah post-trial. It gave you a glimpse of his side. The side that really only stayed with Leah because she was unstable and pregnant at the time.

To say Leah's messed up is an understatement. Girl needs psychological help I think. I read some spoiler free reviews before starting this and some reviewers 'got' her. Understood her. Throughout I wasn't seeing anyway to make sense of her actions until the end.

Leah is a manipulative, deceitful and determined woman desperate to hold on the her man and would do anything to keep him. And I mean ANYTHING! She reeks of desperation and insecurity. Her insecurity could be summed up in one word; "Olivia."

"What does this woman have that I don’t?"
Leah, Dirty Red

She asks herself this a couple of times and it doesn't matter that she had Caleb or that Olivia was married to "sexy Ghandi" as Leah put it. She would always compare herself to Olivia and deep down you knew that on some level she knew that to Caleb, Olivia would always be incomparable.

“When they're together, it's like putting a hurricane and a tornado in the same room - you can feel the tension. I didn't believe in the cliche of soul mates until I saw them together.”
―Cammie, Dirty Red

Sam was a character that I really liked. He was blunt to the point of being rude. But he told Leah how he saw things unafraid to hurt her feelings. I think she appreciated his honesty even though she was taken aback by his bluntness.

“Caleb is a pretty nice guy."..."Why would he marry a girl like you?”
― Sam, Dirty Red

Ultimately what it came down to was that Leah was always going to be that person. The person that was willing to fight till the death to get what she wanted. The only thing she wanted; Caleb. At points I questioned her so-called love for him. It was in the way she'd refer to him as if he were the prize in her war against Olivia. Saying that he was hers, that she'd won. It objectified Caleb as a prize to her, that she'd gotten what Olivia hadn't. It made me really question if she truly was in love with him. She loved him but it was such a desperate, obsessive set of feelings that I wasn't sure you could classify it as a true love.

“Maybe the guy loves a good bitch - but you're treading a thin line between attractively bitchy and psycho.”
― Sam, Dirty Red

What I did come to realize in the end was that she didn't deserve it. She didn't deserve him and I mean that in the best way. She made herself different to be with him. She was never herself because who she really was, wasn't what he wanted. My opinion was that she was lacking that feeling of truly being loved stemming from her less than happy childhood. I felt very sorry for her even when I thought she was a hateful, selfish woman. She became this person because of all she'd gone through. It wasn't until her and Caleb's last scene that I saw that she didn't belong with him but with someone that could really love her. Love her like she wants to be loved. Caleb just wasn't that person.

“I have done a number of things to keep this man. I have lied and cheated. I have been sexy and meek, fierce and vulnerable. I have been everything but myself.”
― Leah, Dirty Red

A part of her always knew that she was second choice, that Olivia would always be in his heart. Everyone saw it. She saw it too at the beginning. She just thought that she'd be the one to make him forget her.

“Love is illogical. You fall into it like a manhole. Then you're just stuck. You die in love more than you live in love.”
― Caleb, Dirty Red

But true to her roots, she's not going down without a fight. The epilogue read like; if I can't have him no one will. Leah isn't going to take Caleb's deception lightly, ironic really in the face of all she'd done.

"He thought Olivia could hurt him, I’ll hurt him worse."
― Leah, Dirty Red

So much lies, so much deception. Aah, I may not have liked Leah very much but this story was awesome. I am really looking forward to the third book in this truly EPIC series. The third book has a name and it's "Thief" and from Caleb's POV. Fitting this name really after reading this. It was what Leah said:

"He is a thief. He stole my life; he stole hers."
― Leah, Dirty Red

Terrific sequel! Amazing author! Looking forward to "Thief."

REVIEW: Fallen too Far (Fallen too Far, #1) by Abbi Glines

Before I get into the heavy, I just need to comment on the book cover and how gorgeous I think it is. I think it may be my favorite of all her book covers and she has some great ones. Okay the book . . .

Still collecting my thoughts after this one. I'm in a bummy kinda place after the ending and I don't know what to do or think. That said though, it was a very good book. Nothing less than what I've come to expect from this author.

It's the most adult story I've read from her and it was so very good. This book had emotion like whoa. I could feel my heart clenching at intermittent periods from the very start and at certain moments throughout. It was also very steamy (oh yea, heavy on the hotness).

Our characters . . . Blaire Wynn ( love the name since Blair Waldorf is like my hero . . . I miss GG already!). She's just lost her mother after a three year battle with cancer. This girl's only nineteen and she's been on her own with her mother since she was fifteen and took care of her and everything after her death for years. Now that he mother's gone, she has no family but the father who abandoned her and her mother five years earlier. She has no home and turns to him for help. and don't mess with her, she may be young and appeal to guys' protective sides but Ms Thang knows how to wield a gun like law enforcement (she'd licensed, don't you worry).

She doesn't want to turn to him but he's all she has left . . .

Enter Rush Finlay, son of a rock-star and totally out of her league and a real bad-boy with his sexy tattoos and piercings . . . and her new step-brother! I have to say nothing about Rush endeared me to him in the slightest from the start. His behavior and mannerisms especially towards Blaire . . . I don't know. I had serious mixed feelings for his character. That started to change though as the book progressed.

“I never asked you for anything more than a room. I don’t expect you to want me. I never did. I am aware that you and I are in two different playing fields."

Things that happened with Rush prior to any sort of relationship with him and Blaire didn't sit right with me. He wanted Blaire so why if he knew she saw him doing another girl, did he just continue to 'do' said girl? Not cool. And that she just seemed to brush that away, confused me a little.

"Blaire, I'm not a romantic guy. I don't kiss and cuddle. You deserve someone who kisses and cuddles. Not me. I just f*ck, baby. You aren't meant for someone like me."

I don't want to give too much away about the story but I will say that the last 15-20% of the book gutted me. The ending made me hurt even more. Rush may not have been my favorite person at the beginning but he grew on me as the book went along. I knew something would ruin it though, there was always that secret lingering and shit hit the fan when Blaire found out. What really made things worse was that everyone in town seemed to know and Blaire was like the last to find out.

To say that feelings were hurt was an understatement. Things went from good to bad really quickly. The coming out of the big secret changed everything and led to the subsequent cliffhanger ending that had me wanting to cry because the next book won't be out for months. :(

"Everyone always said that love was enough. It wasn’t. Not when your soul was shattered."

Secondary characters . . .  Really disliked Nanette from the get-go. Whatever her issues, she was way too much of a bitch to ever get my sympathy. I liked Bethy. She was cool and her bubbliness was  kind of contagious. Even though Rush disliked him out of jealousy, I really liked Woods too.

All in all, a great book from one of my favorite authors, I look forward to "Never too Far" (book 2) which from what I've seen should be out in March 2013. If you love Abbi Glines' books this one is a must!

4/5 stars!

REVIEW: Lexi, Baby (This Can't Be Happening, #1) by Lynda LeeAnne

I really liked this book! A lot! I mean this story has everything! And yes, I do realize I've been exclaiming since I started this review but I can't help it! Too cool! Sexy cover by the way. I don't know if authors know this but sometimes it's the cover that makes you stop and notice. I am saying this from my perspective of course but usually when an author is an unknown for me, when I haven't previously read her/his book, the cover makes me stop while I'm searching for new titles and take a look. If the blurb is interesting then I get it.

The cover is dark and has an underlying sensuality that made me take notice and after reading the blurb for this one I had to have it! This book had emotions and angst and a bit of cheating with one sexy, ultimate ALPHA male hero, throw that in with a hidden pregnancy,  a stalker and plenty sexy, steamy hot scenes and you got a winner!

Alexis Sky Martine and Landyn James were the perfect couple. High school sweethearts. They were in love and planning a future together because nothing meant more to them than each other. Lexi saw Lan as the man she would marry. He even gave her a promise ring to remind her of him and his promise to her even when they were at different colleges. They were perfect together and so happy. Nothing could ruin that right?

“He treated me like I was his heart; like he needed me to exist; like he'd do anything in his power to make me happy.”

I loved Lan! I didn't when he cheated at the start but I liked him after. He was so sexy, and very obsessive and possessive over Lexi. This guy was head over heels over her and he never let her forget it. Even when they had broken each other's hearts with his betrayal he made sure she knew that even walking out on him didn't mean she would ever be anyone's but his.

“You’re mine Lexi! No matter what happens, you’re mine! Do you hear me?” - Lan

Lan and Lexi are apart for six years in the interim of his betrayal and since then, Lexi's life has changed drastically. She was a single mother, taking care of a young child while going to school and after a couple of years finally got involved with someone else.

Fate had other plans for these two because when an old and very much hated acquaintance sees Lexi and her daughter Layla (I know all L's), Lan comes barreling back into Lexi's life and he plans to stay there. There was a lot unresolved between these two and the feelings were still very much alive. I mean these two really steamed up the pages. Woo! He was way possessive of her and jealous to the extreme but he was a good father and he loved them both terribly.

“You think this is funny? Did you like him touching you?...Take off your clothes,”
“I’m feeling the need to mark my territory and I want you right here. Right now.”

Lexi was resistant to their reunion with good reason. You really couldn't begrudge her reluctance because the trust between them was broken. He'd broken it. It would have been hard to just give yourself up to someone who had the power to hurt you like nobody else. They had a lot they needed to work out.

“I do remember exactly how I felt when I
walked out and saw you; the look on your face. It
was like being drenched with ice water and it
sobered me up fast. I remember wanting to hold
you and you looking at me like I just destroyed
your life. And I knew I did too because I was
destroyed and you were my life.”- Lan

They went back and forth throughout because he was very protective and jealous. He didn't want any other man near her. She was his and he had no qualms about making her know this. Whether it was marking his territory with her body or with words, he made sure she knew that he was in it for the long haul and that he wasn't ever giving her up.

“I’m glad you think I’m unbelievable, baby,
and I will never stop calling you baby. I refuse to call you what everyone else does because you’re not theirs, you’re mine.”- Lan

They had a lot to deal with also with her ex-boyfriend being physically abusive after the break-up and hurting her but they got through it and worked things out because ultimately they loved each other too much to ever be apart.

“I love you Lexi. You’re going to be mine for the rest of your life. You’ve always been mine.” His voice was firm. "I'm not afraid to admit how much I need you, baby."

Really good book. I love my ALPHA heroes so there was  no doubt I would like it. I am really anxious to read Trish's story next. That cliffhanger made me wish I had the sequel on hand already! Oh and I hope that Adam gets a story too. Loved him!

REVIEW: V is for Virgin by Kelly Oram

Such a pretty cover! Really totally cute. I love that it has the 'V' necklace that Valerie wears throughout the book. And I will just say, as the second book I've read from this author, it was freakin' fantastic. I really enjoyed this book from start to finish.

Basically to give a little insight, the book is about Valerie who after publicly declaring her virgin status to the entire cafeteria at school becomes somewhat of a home-town hero.

It all happens in a sequence of events; her boyfriend dumping her because she wouldn't put out as she is saving herself for marriage -> seeing said ex-bf swapping spit with one of the girls that Val doesn't get along with -> leads to her declaration -> video is recorded by a school-mate and shared on Youtube
-> video goes viral -> Valerie becomes known as "Virgin Val."

Valerie Jensen was a very strong heroine that stood very proudly for what she believed in. Something that was infinitely precious and important to her and she realized that she may not be the only person who feels the same way and she becomes an advocate for the silent. She brings them into the fold by sharing her morals with everyone. There were the obvious ones that didn't appreciate her crusade, everything wasn't black or white, there were differences of opinion.

The hero Kyle Hamilton. I really loved Kyle. He's handsome, a home-town rock-star that went to the same school as Val but dropped out after making it big. After meeting Val, Kyle believes he's the man to relieve her of her virgin status. He's cocky and has a huge ego but he's sexy and I found his persistence endearing actually. They had such witty bantering throughout. His blog post after the school festival made me laugh and swoon at the same time.

"The Top Ten Reasons Why Virgin Val Sucks
10. She called me a one-hit-wonder
9. She doesn't appreciate the endearing nickname I gave her.
8. She makes me write stupid blogs about her at four in the morning.
7. She's encouraging people not to have sex.
6. She blew me off when I asked her out.
5. She has a crush on a douche bag.
4. She won't answer any of my calls.
3. She's such a tease with her look-but-don't-touch policy.
2. I played a whole effing concert just for her and she didn't come even though she told me she would. (You're such a liar!)
And the #1 reason why Virgin Val sucks?
I still want her anyway."

There was a lot of relationships that took major hits along the way both friendships and personal. Valerie was running herself thin for her cause and trying to make a difference. There was a lot of emotion, angst, sexual tension (yea I'm talking about Kyle and Val). They had some moments and she kept denying what was going on between them.

“I want you to be honest with yourself,” he said. “You and I have something, and you know it.”
He took my hand and threaded his fingers through mine. “I want you, Val.” He brushed his other hand over my necklace and said, “More than just
this. I want a relationship."

I loved how Kyle never gave up, even when she gave him no quarter. He was still there trying to win her even when it seemed like they probably weren't right for each other. Their ideals so different, I almost thought they wouldn't end up together. The thought was seriously daunting. They were both very honest about what they wanted and what neither could give to the other. To some Kyle's candidness may have been bold but I appreciated his honesty. I liked that he put himself out there and let her know why he couldn't give in all the way. She told him why she couldn't agree to what he was proposing.

Kyle stared at me with a truly tortured expression. “What if I told you I loved you?” he asked quietly. “What if I promised to be with you and only
I felt tears prick my eyes. “It wouldn't be enough,” I admitted sadly. “If I gave in to you I’d hate myself for it. I’d resent you. I’d always feel like you
didn't love me enough to give me the only thing I asked of you.”

At this point I was ready to cry because in this scene you could see that things couldn't work for them at this point. They both were too different and wanted completely different things from each other. At this point too, Val had run herself too thin and she was losing herself in the image the public had created for her and the persona she had adopted.

Virgin Val didn't have to disappear entirely, but Valerie Jensen was going to take back her life.

The epilogue was a couple years later. And the end couldn't have more perfect and fitting. But I still couldn't help trying to find more pages hoping they'd just magically be there because now that their time had come, I wanted more with just them. But great book overall.

“I’ll be singing the first single off my new album, and in grand Kyle Hamilton tradition, I've written it for a certain someone who I couldn't
manage to get out of my head.”
He laughed at the expression on my face and then winked. “It’s called, ‘Worth Waiting For.’”

5/5 stars!

REVIEW: Marco's Redemption by Lynda Chance

I've read practically all of this author's novels but I think this one was my favourite. Lynda Chance has a knack for writing about these sexy and very ALPHA male heroes that love their heroines to the point of obsession. Their need to possess and keep these heroines always the most dominant thought in their mind.

Marco Donati knows he wants Natalie Lambert the minute she rear-ends his Audi. The perfect opportunity to keep her close till he can make his move, comes the form of her not being able to pay him for the damages. He proposes an agreement, that she work in his home as his domestic (cooking, cleaning and washing) as payment for the damages to the car.

Natalie thinks Marco is beyond attractive. He's gorgeous and she is grateful for such an easy way to repay her debt. It almost seems unfair when she thinks about the five digit sum that she owes him.

Marco has other plans for Natalie slowly opening her up to his attraction for her. He has a woman he usually goes to for his physical needs but with Natalie around, his body wants no one else and after a very sexual encounter in the back of a car, the rules have changed and Marco wants Natalie totally with him, being his woman.

"What do you want from me, Marco?" she asked
softly, her body still trembling with after
quakes of desire.
"You," he said, his voice firm as he
looked into her eyes.

He's jealous and possessive and he can't get enough of her. It worries him how much he wants her. Never has he wanted anyone so much. He can't stand the thought of any other man looking at her or worst putting his hands on her. He has trust issues. They argue about his methods of trying to keep her safe when it's really himself he's trying to protect. Trying to protect himself from losing her to someone else.

"You prove that you can handle
me, the way I am, and that you're not
scared of me. I don't want you scared of
me, Natalie. But I can't change how I am." - Marco.

He wanted her so much that he bought her a ring hoping she'd wear it on her left ring finger so others would know she was his. The one time they have sex without a condom he admits to her near the end that he had hoped she'd gotten pregnant so he wouldn't have to keep worrying that she might leave him someday. He's not the confident bank CEO when he's around her. He asserts his dominance over her but there was a lot of inner turmoil inside his head. She made him vulnerable. He couldn't handle the thought of losing her.

"Do you love me?"
He let out a puff of air and ran his hand
through his hair again with fingers that
shook. "Jesus Christ, Natalie. Heart, body,
and soul. More than life itself."

There was never any chance of him letting her go. He would do anything to keep her and anything to make sure she remained his for good. I really liked the epilogue. The heroine Natalie wasn't weak, she loved him so much that she'd do anything to make him happy. He scared her at times with his intensity but she always knew he'd never hurt her. Even when he never put his feelings into words, she knew he cared and she was willing to accept him the way he was because she couldn't live without him anymore than he could without her.

"You've been mine since the day
you slammed into me from behind,
Natalie. You just didn't know it."

REVIEW: Being Jamie Baker (Jamie Baker, #1) by Kelly Oram

First off check out this trailer and tell me if it doesn't immediately make you want to read this book?

It's like the coolest book trailer ever. And so cute. It had me laughing before I even got the book. All good signs. I just had to get it and read it right away. I wasn't disappointed and you wouldn't be either after reading this totally awesome book.

What a wonderful debut from this author. It's been out a good while now but better late that never and it's my first read from this author and won't be my last.

"Most superhero stories start with a meteor shower or a nasty insect bite, but mine actually starts with a kiss. Whether it was a kiss of life or a
kiss of death I still haven’t decided, but it was, surprisingly, a really good kiss."

Let's start with out characters,

Jamie Baker is a seventeen year old girl, who moved away to a new place after a freak accident that killed her boyfriend and gave her enhanced physical abilities or superpowers. It also turned her hair green and her eyes are now yellow. She hides this by dying her hair black and wearing coloured contacts. She can run as fast as  the speed of light, she has enhanced senses, that is, her senses of smell, sight, hearing and touch is enhanced and her emotions when heightened causes high volts of electric energy to burst forth.

Jamie is a loner, she keeps to herself, that is until Ryan Miller comes into the picture threatening that with his boyish good looks and sexy smirk and his over-confidence that somehow makes him very charming.

Ryan Miller is one of the most popular guys in school. He's the quarterback on the football team and he's seriously good looking, with his blonde hair and sexy blue eyes. He's one of those characters that take you off guard because his personality is anything but what you expected it to be. He's cocky and self-assured yes, but he's always very sweet, caring, heroic and very persistent, especially when it comes to Jamie.

After Jamie kisses Ryan helping him win a bet mainly because he surprises her with his honesty, Jamie can't seem to shake him. He wants to go out with her but for obvious reasons of self-preservation and for his safety, she's very reluctant and non-agreeable.

“I kissed Ryan, and it charged him up like a freaking Duracell."- Jamie

After a freakish accident in school where Jamie saves someone getting hurt in the process and walking away unscathed, witnessed by schoolmates, she has some explaining to do.

Ryan learns the truth about her because he already seems to know too much and well she trusts him and with good instincts too because he's very trustworthy and he's not easily scared off. He's willing to be with Jamie at the risk of being fried in the process  He wants to be with her that much.

I really loved Ryan's character  I love him as a hero. Love how he's always there for Jamie and that he wants to be with her even when he risks losing all his friends because they think she's a freak and even when Jamie doesn't think she's good enough for him because he could do so much better.

There was a lot for Jamie to work through and the pressures of controlling her powers to avoid exposure  and to be able to have a semblance of a relationship with Ryan. There are  many hazards that come with Being Jamie Baker but she could do it for herself, her family and Ryan.

A lot of things to love from the book and there's a short story from Ryan's POV called "Kissing Jamie Baker" that you can read on the author's blog here. There's also a second book "More Than Jamie Baker." The release date is uncertain but there's a blurb and the release date according to Goodreads is 2014. (So long to wait but at least there's another one so I'll try to be patient).

5/5 stars!

"V is for Virgin" (it's on my reading list)

All In (The Blackstone Affair, #2) by Raine Miller

I think what I really liked about this one was the fact that it was totally told from Ethan's perspective. It's always a treat when we get the male's POVs in novels because it's usually the heroine telling the story and we don't get to see the depth of the male's character, stripped bare like you would from his own perspective.

You really saw the core of Ethan's feelings for Brynne in this one. His possessiveness, his love, his inherent need to know she was safe because losing her would be too much for him. The chapters before they got back together were really telling. He was so distraught. He was basically lost without her.

We got more insight into his past though I'm guessing that its not the whole story though. We finally know in detail what Brynne went through- her past.

I really loved how Ethan showed her how loved and wanted she was and never once made her feel like she was undeserving of that because of what happened to her in the past. he was afraid that he wouldn't want her anymore after knowing the whole truth but he showed her that nothing would ever change the way he felt about her. I loved how vocal he was about his love for her. It was really sweet.

Reading from Mr. Blackstone's POV already told you what you knew from 'Naked', that he was very possessive but I think that from his side, his words, you saw how far those feelings traveled. He was insanely jealous and possessive  wanting to mark his territory when it came to other men getting too close. The sexy scenes between these two were as steamy as ever. So hot.

This sequel was just as good as the first if not better but I at the end I was confused  Let me explain. The charm about this series is that every time it gets to a really good, intriguing part, the book is like over and I'm left wanting more, like I was with this one.

At the end I had so many questions that I wanted to read more. I needed some answers.

1. Who sent that video to Brynne's old cellphone and was watching them at the Gallery?

2. Did Gabriella and Ivan hook up at the event?
3. Who's after Ivan?
4. Brynne's sick. What's wrong with her? ( See I had a theory about this one and now I'm gonna have to wait!)

Cliffhangers man, you either hate them or you love them because they ramp up your excitement for the books. Me? I usually son't like them, especially because of the waiting . . .

Really solid sequel, I've really enjoyed this series thus far and I'm really looking forward to the next book.

The Night Prince Novels by Jeaniene Frost

Let's be serious people, Vlad Tepesh is the hottest vamp like ever! Totally wanted more after reading 'Once Burned' (Book 1).

But what I really wanted to talk about are those sexy book covers. I mean Vlad in all his sexy glory, scars included on the cover in the form of that deliciously sexy model! Loved it!

I mean get a load of the cover of 'Once Burned' along with the inside cover . . .

Sexy right? But then I saw the cover for 'Twice Tempted' . . .

Me likey!

Oh and on the inside? Total hotness that is Vlad and Leila . . .

Yep, totally fanning right now!

Okay so now that I've completely objectified the series' book covers, I have to very ardently recommend that if you haven't read 'Once Burned' by Jeaniene Frost that you really should. It's really terrific. Vlad is the sexiest, most dangerous and thrilling vamp you'll ever read. I really could go on and on. And Leila is a very unique, very intriguing heroine. Together these two are virtually unstoppable.

I'm really looking forward to 'Twice Tempted' and the continuation of their story. It's thrilling and exciting and well, if i read 'Once Burned' in practically a day then I will surely devour this one! 'Twice Tempted' is set to release on March 26, 2013.

REVIEW: Naked (The Blackstone Affair, #1) by Raine Miller

Naked was a sexy, off the charts hot erotic romance that will definitely leave you panting for more and wishing you needed security to get you a piece of Ethan Blackstone!

I've been coming out of a funk and this was just what I needed. I'd been meaning to read this one for a while but I wanted to make sure I had the time to read both this and the sequel "All In" back to back so I wouldn't suffer through waiting for the next one.

This was a pretty terrific read. I loved the characters especially Ethan, obviously. I mean 2012 has been the year of the alpha male, possessive and sexiest heroes and Ethan Blackstone just joined that list.

Some elements of the story-line was reminiscent of some of the sexy books I read earlier this year but it only served to make the story better.

I liked Ethan's character a lot. He was sexy and took charge like a man who knew what he wanted and took it. And after seeing Brynne's portrait he wants her. I loved how he pursued her and left her no room to rebuff him. He let her know from the get-go what he wanted from her and their relationship.

“You hit me the instant I saw you." he said, gruffly. "I couldn't look away. I wanted you immediately. Excessively. Almost violently.”
―  Naked

There was quite a lot of sexy in this book between Ethan and Brynne. Scorch the sheets up, sexy. I mean Ethan didn't hold back with Brynne. He just told her what he wanted to do to her and it was raw and primal and so so sexy!

This wasn't any kind of straightforward romance though, Brynne has a past, one that was hinted at but we still haven't gotten to the root of and Ethan, though we know what he does for a living, they both didn't know each other very well before embarking on their very passionate relationship.

Things were going good for them even though they had some minor rocky times in between but I don't know why I kept waiting for something to happen. Something that was really going to rock their relationship and it did come. At the end. Yep cliffhanger.

Really good overall but I just felt like it was over too quickly. Yea, I'm the reader that always wants more when the story's good. Besides that, really liked it and would recommend it.

Ready to read the sequel "All In."

COVER REVEAL: Perfectly Unmatched (Youngblood, #2) by Liz Reinhardt

Thanks to Liz for allowing me the pleasure of sharing the cover and official blurb for the second novel in the Youngblood series. This one follows up Fall Guy and is centered around Benelli Youngblood!

Without further ado, here's the cover:

Totally cute right?

Official blurb:

Benelli Youngblood is dedicated to her family. Unlike her unpredictable, selfish siblings, Benelli plans to do what's expected of her: get married to a good, stable man who will help her father save his floundering business. And she's sure her current boyfriend is that man.

When she catches said boyfriend sleeping with his secretary, she hops the first plane to her family's summer house in Hungary armed with a list of eligible men from solid families to go on dates with so she can find the perfect marriage partner. It may sound old-fashioned, but it's what's always worked for her family, and it's how she'll mend her shattered heart.

What she doesn't plan on is falling for Cormac Halstrom. The witty, sexy professor with no interest in business or marriage couldn't be further from the right choice for her. But his hot kisses and sweet words make her feel something she hasn't in years; she finally feels like herself.

When things go too far with Cormac and her family shows up unexpectedly, Benelli will have to decide if she's going to listen to her heart or her head when it comes to finding her perfect match.

PERFECTLY UNMATCHED is a new adult novel that contains mature language, sexuality, and adult situations.

Are you excited? Cuz' I am! Love all Liz's work!

Perfectly Unmatched is scheduled for release December 20, 2012
