So Sensitive (Hard to Get #1) by Anne Rainey

When Fear Crosses the Line
At first, the mysterious emails are flattering. But soon, Gracie Baron can't deny she has a stalker—and it's clear she needs protection. . .
Into Pure Pleasure
P.I. Wade Harrison admits that his friend's luscious assistant, Gracie, has been tantalizing him for months. So Wade jumps at the chance to offer her the personal protection she needs, free of charge. The only catch is, Gracie must agree to obey his orders—no questions asked.
The Answer Is Yes
Once Wade has Gracie alone; he isn't shy about letting her know what he wants. His fantasies involve erotic toys and a very willing partner—and that's just for starters. Gracie doesn't know what she wants, but Wade is hot and restless—and surrendering to his desires may be exactly what she needs. . .

I've read quite a few novels from Ms Rainey before and been very pleased but this one fell sort of flat to me. Contrary to the rave reviews I read before getting the book, It wasn't at all the same for me.The premise for the story was promising but I just didn't think it was carried out well. I'm not saying the book was bad, it was a good read but it could've been way better and I struggled to finish it actually. I really only carried on to see who the stalker would be. The characters though fleshed out a bit were way too wrapped up in their sexual haze to think about other things and when they remembered what really brought them together, it was only a matter of time for them to be back to the sexing.
The hero was a little too possessive for me though. I love possessive heroes but I thought he was too possessive of her having only know her from talking to her at her boss' office, he really didn't know her all that much and as soon as he got the chance he got her into bed. I mean the woman has some deranged stalker after her. Creepy stalker that almost killed her and the first thing he does after taking her under his protection is doing her.

I would have liked there to be more about the stalker. The only set of real clues they got came at the very end of the book and then they caught him and it was over. Sigh!

All in all, the novel was probably a 3.5/5 for me.

It was good, the chemistry between the two leads were hot! No denying that. Jonas was a character I actually like more than Wade so I'm really excited to start his book next. This was just one partial miss out of many hits that I've read from Anne Rainey and I'm still going to read more of her novels in future. It's not all bad, still have a read, who knows you might like it more than I did.
